Nick Young, Deputy Head of Programmes

Nick works predominantly on our major leadership programmes. He is the programme director for the Adam Science Leadership Programme (ASLP) for emerging leaders, and is currently developing our new programme for mid-level leaders (launching in 2026!). He also manages the Dangoor Senior Leadership Programme (DSLP), supports the Senior Leadership Programme Alumni network, steers the Leadership Pipeline initiative and works on other projects across the JLC and Lead.

Nick comes from a background in education having taught in the UK, France, Japan and Hungary where he was vice principal of the International School of Budapest. He has worked in the UK Jewish community since 2013. Previously Head of Education at Westminster Synagogue and Community Development Manager at East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue, Nick joined the JLC in June 2022.

Nick has a BA in Public Policy from Goldsmiths College, a PGCE from UCL’s Institute of Education and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London (UEL). Nick practices privately as a counsellor and coach and is a lay leader within Progressive Judaism.
